Far be it from me to give you tips on how to run your website but I think a thing that puts alot of people off signing up is the whole recurring bill thing. :(

Most people, i think, would prefer to sign up for a day, week, month or whatever with the bill being non-recurring. Maybe something you could look into?

I don’t really know that it will help but I have only ever signed up to one site and that was for Alsscan for one month. The fact that it was non-recurring is the main reason i signed up. And to get all your videos ofcourse…………… ;)

    Wow!! :)

Chris: Thanks for your comment. You can CANCEL your membership (it concerns to the trial membership option of course) EASILY. So I think it’s not a problem. By the way why do you think this? Where do you know from?

It’s just something I’ve learned from reading other blogs and forums. There are review sites too that also state there preference for non recurring and always give a better review if non recurring exists.

I’ve heard a lot of people complain about difficulties cancelling with CCBill for example. There was a poll on one site where everyone voted that they would be more likely to sign up to a non-recurring site.

Say $10 for one week or $35 for a month non-recurring with the money being debited straight from your bank account. People will pay that extra bit more for non-recurring.

Let’s say someone has stumble across your site and likes the idea of signing up but sees that his options are all recurring except for the 180 day one. I believe he would be put off. But if he were to see a one week and also a one month non-recurring he would be far more likely to sign up. It is called “passing trade”.

I hope this information is of some help and that you get lots more members.
